Sea Star

Sea Star is a beautifully appointed home that boasts sweeping ocean views of Bodega Harbour, Doran Beach across to the Bodega Head and the northern coast. Located in the Bodega Harbour Community in Bodega Bay on California's dramatic north coast, Sea Star’s Retreat is a one-of-a-kind vacation home that will pamper your soul and sooth your senses with unparallel beauty and views.

This thoughtfully designed home features stunning water views, American Cherry hardwood and Turkish Travertine floors with independent controls for radiant heat. Brazilian marble countertops, a well-equipped gourmet kitchen complete with a bar area, double ovens, a warming drawer, large stainless steel sink, a six-burner gas stove top, and dishwasher. The beautiful dining area has incredible ocean views over looking the harbor, Doran Beach and the bird sanctuary. The large cherry wood table in the dining area will easily accommodate 10 people. The living room is just off the dining area and has two beautifully appointed sofa’s facing the fireplace featuring art work of the area by a local artist. Upstairs there is game room with a built in wet bar and High Definition flat screen TV.

Every room in the house is painted a color that represents the natural elements of Bodega Bay. The Master Suite has a King size sea grass bed that steps out to a patio where you can sip wine and watch the sunset over the ocean. The guest bedroom has a twin day bed with a Temperpedic mattress complete with an office armoire and internet access. The loft upstairs has two beds perfect for children, teens and even adults. The game room has a blow up Queen size bed that can be easily used to accommodate additional guests as needed.

Sea Star has four different< outdoor seating areas - the private Master Suite deck with a bistro table for two, the dining area deck, the upstairs deck and an additional entry deck with seating for four with a propane Weber barbecue.

Just a short five-minute walk from Sea Star leads you to the County of Sonoma Bird Reserve where you can take a walk, have a picnic, read a book or bird watch. There is also a newly built bridge in the bird sanctuary that connects to Doran Beach where you beach comb, fly a kite, build sand castles, body surf or just relax and enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature.

Sea Star is just minutes from the Bodega Harbour Clubhouse and the Links at Bodega Harbour, awarded 4-stars in Golf Digest "Best Places to Play" and ranked number 11 in American Express Departure’s magazine as one of the 25 most challenging courses in California. The course is open for public play, and when you stay at Sea Star you have free access to the golf course parking lot and the children's play area as well as easy access to Doran Beach and the Bluewater Bistro Restaurant at the Clubhouse.

There are plenty of wonderful things to do in Bodega Bay. There are delightful restaurants in and surrounding Bodega Bay in Sonoma County. There is a unique wine shop in the harbor where you can wine surf by sampling some of Sonoma’s award winning wines and purchase unique gifts all while enjoying the harbor view. You can even learn about the sea life being studied in Bodega Bay at the UCDavis Marine Laboratory which is open to the public every Friday afternoon.
